PNoy OKs plan making him ‘export champion’

A nice move for Philippine economy to boost. We should do what South Korea did. They concentrate on small to medium scale business as well as exports. We can do it if we believe we can!

Right, it's easy to say that we'll be an "exporting champion". We can't even provide for ourselves. A country with great agricultural potential can't even grow crops and stop importing rice. Maybe before thinking about exports, focus more on growing domestic products as a substitute for importation. Self sufficiency first, before profitable marketing.

This is a Press release only, no plan provided, not even a hint, just to "leverage on the mandate", "preside on quarterly meetings". Plan for "2011-2012" That's it? Do you think by his mere presence alone, everything will fall into place and exports will sky rocket? Come on!

Also, are they saying that the trade department can't handle this and president has to lead this? Or is this another OJT activity for the president simply because he wants to?

Another sign that the people around the president are only providing ideas (not even good ideas) with no plan, therefore another NATO (No Action, Talk Only).

That's a good news but why the government still importing rice and corn where in fact it is one of our basic commodity We are also know that this importation is the main reason why our farmers remain the poorest class because they don't have no option to sell their products with a competitive price that destroyed by this low cost subsidized importation.

PNoy should also seriously look at how he can really help the farmers with their inputs without this farmers going to the private financiers who charge higher interest.

We need to improve our agriculture & food production. This is the only way to lower the price of food in the market just like in Thailand. If they can do it, then we can do it also as long as there is a political will to do it. A more drastic steps need to be done now or more of our people will go hungry.

EXPORTS should mean Philippine made raw materials or finish products to be ship to other foreign countries. This will create more jobs in the Philippines and hopefully prevent the EXPORTING OF FILIPINO WORKERS abroad.
