Every administration is blaming the previous administration as corrupt, the cycle does not stop so our country cannot move forward.
It is good to study and evaluate the past and if necessary have an investigation like what Mr President is doing but if our leaders will just put as much passion, effort, time and resources on improvement of our country . Philippines will progress and go a long way. Our country has a lot of resources, and with a good leader I know we can be progressive.
I am not in the Philippines now but I watch the news daily and it makes me very sad, I've noticed it's always bad news in the news always, there's a good news but mostly are bad.
Well, a very good ambition to build up a case against the previous administration however, I am just wondering why work and spend much much public funds on this issue when it is very easy and it will not need much public funding to build up cases against those who are still working in the departments of finance like Bureau of Customs Examiners & Collectors, Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioners and Examiners, just simple arithmetic how much these people received as their salaries and compare with their expenses, bank deposits, cars, houses, jewelries, etc. most of these people are still doing their shits in their work why not work along this line first before working to get the past President jailed or convicted or simultaneous.
It seems to me that if they will not work on this area first, then there might be some hidden agenda to build up a case against the past administration to get a share of the loot if it can be established that there was. I suggest to bring all who had enriched themselves with public money be brought to justice including the Senators, Congressmen, Mayors, Governors by doing the simple arithmetical comparison against their salaries as public servants, it is not fair to bring only the past President to justice, then there is no justice if others are not convicted also. It is some sort of selective justice which is not advisable for the present administration to wage.
I hope I'm wrong but I'm not hopeful the incumbent government can build a case against Arroyo and her family and cohorts. Who will blow the whistle without immunity from suits. There is no honor among thieves but thieves also possess the basic instinct of self-preservation. Who will testify if all of them will be affected later on?
Sad to say. Why the elected Government can not spend their time to do their works to prove they are better once. Instead spending his time to check on the previous shortcoming. The people elected you is hoping you can do the better job. wake up! We are moving forward and no looking backward.
